Assignments in Canvas can be used to challenge students' understanding and help assess competency. The Assignments page will show your students all of the Assignments they will be expected to complete and how many points each assignment is worth. Complete the following steps for this Challenge:
Create one assignment from the Assignments link on your Course Navigation (Tip! You can quickly transfer assignment instructions from a document to Canvas by copying/pasting into the Rich Content Editor and then spending a few moments to make formatting adjustments. You can also link to files that you've uploaded into your course, such as a worksheet or required reading. Improve assignments by using Canvas tools to provide additional context and background through links, images, videos, etc.)
Extra Tip: Organizing your Assignments! When you create assignments, you can begin to organize them into Assignment Groups. Creating Assignment Groups allows you to assign weighted grading and other options (i.e., drop the lowest score from the assignment group "Quizzes"). To learn more about how to create Assignment Groups, access the Guides by clicking "Help">"Search the Canvas Guides" or by going to http://guides.instructure.com/. Then input "Assignment Groups" in the search box or click on the "Instructor Guide" > "Assignments" Chapter.
